I really wanted to like this place because its minimalist design was so appealing. I would highly recommend you guys do your research and go to a hotel that is more business friendly, as the wifi signal here is weak and don't expect to make it to your morning meeting properly groomed, because the shower may not even work. We expected to work during the day and hang out at night, but it just didn't work out the way we hoped it would. My husband and I used our stay at The Eliza Jane as a WFH way of exploring New Orleans. When the water did flow, it was tepid at best. I'd have to wait 5-10 minutes before the water came back on. It barely had any water pressure, and some mornings the shower would just stop working midstream. There were so few outlets, we had to rotate our electronics between the two we could find. I would wake up to find most of these things on the floor the next morning. The bedside nightstand was so small, it barely held my phone, a travel sized lotion, and a water bottle. I couldn't even tell if it was raining outside. There was one window in the corner, but it seemed to be blocked by some white wall, so it barely let in light. Even with all the lights on, we couldn't see much. These were all things that you wouldn't recognize at first glance, but add to your annoyance over several days. It was a very pretty room, but over the course of our stay, we discovered several issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The lobby is beautiful, properly air conditioned, and clean! All the staff were so kind and welcoming. It's located a comfortable distance from the frenetic French Quarter, so it almost guarantees a nice and quiet stay. The Eliza Jane is a such a beautifully appointed hotel.
